If you cannot install Realtek AC’97 Audio driver then please read the note & the driver below…
NOTE: Please first install the Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio in Windows XP on HD Audio driver with Hardware ID : HDAUDIO\FUNC_01. If you have not installed Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio, then you should see yellow sign (?) on Device Manager with “PCI Device” written on it.. if you have installed Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio, then you will see a yellow sign (?) with the words “Audio Device on High Definition Bus” & “Modem Device on High Definition Bus” on Device Manager for example..
